Dongshan Grassland is located to the east of Tengchong, with a grassland area of about 20000 acres and a highest altitude of 2373 meters. The annual average temperature is 14.9 ℃, and the average content of negative oxygen ions is 3827 per cubic centimeter, with a maximum of over 38000. It is known as the "natural oxygen bar". Relying on excellent climate conditions, all things stretch and grow, making Tengchong the earliest place to welcome sunlight. The vast and boundless grassland is known as the "heavenly grassland"; In addition, the naturally formed plateau lake is known as the "Shangri La of Tengchong" and the "Little Xizang of Tengchong" due to its elevation of about 2350 meters. In the early morning, the mist is hazy and the wind blows, filling the mountains. The first ray of sunlight rushes out of the clouds, and the small dewdrops on the grassland are crystal clear. Looking down at the "First City on the Extreme Edge" from the "Grassland in the Sky", it is as beautiful as a huge painting.

2. Sakura Avenue

Sakura Avenue is located between the tourist information point at the north gate of the scenic area and the Gaoshan Mountain Ridge Station, with a total length of about 6 kilometers. Winter cherry blossoms are planted along the main road, and the flowering period is from December to February of the following year. The cherry blossoms in Dongshan bloom in a pink and white interweave, as if embracing the entire spring season. The cherry blossom avenue, like clouds and clouds, looks like a pink sea of clouds from afar, warm and brilliant. Strolling through it is like wandering in pink clouds and mist. Looking up, crimson and light green interweave into a forest, like a pink veil covering the face of the sky, so romantic.

Every early spring, the first thing that awakens in Dongshan is the bright red azaleas. The weathered brown tree trunk blooms with gorgeous flowers, ancient and mysterious. The growth process of large azaleas is extremely slow, taking about 50 years from seedling to flowering. The azaleas in Dongshan are generally over a hundred years old.

4. Ancient Post Camphor Tree

Before embarking on an unknown journey, the century old camphor tree is worshipped and prayed for by horse drivers. As the wind blows through its branches, it guides the ancestors of the caravan towards the right direction. However, after encountering a catastrophic disaster, it is reborn from the ashes. No one knows what it has experienced in the past. Touching its trunk, one can still hear the melodious sound of a bell, and the journey of exploration into Dongshan begins from here.

5. Ball eyed evening photo

There is an ancient temple at the waist of Qiumou Mountain (one of the peaks in Dongshan), which houses a magical statue of Maitreya Buddha. As the sun sets, the surrounding mountains begin to dim, with only the last rays of afterglow shining on Maitreya Buddha's belly, still emitting a golden glow. The appearance of this scene has very high requirements for weather and time, and can only be encountered on a few days of the year.

6. Yubi Ancient Road Site

From the Yuan Dynasty to the early 18th century, Dongshan was a must pass route from Tengchong to Baoshan. The Tongzhi of Tengyue Hall, Yilibu, laid a jade walled official post road here, tracing its origin southward and carrying silk, jade, tea and horses from different times and spaces. It was the longing road for ancestors to communicate with the outside world and also the link between Tengchong and the world. Officials of all dynasties took this route when they took office, which was called the "Official Horse Road" in ancient times. The well preserved ancient road on Dongshan is one of the important ancient roads that once connected Tengchong with the world. Over time, most of the ancient roads have been replaced by modern highways, but Dongshan Ancient Road has been fully preserved due to its high mountain location. Although it no longer has the hustle and bustle of the past, its impact on Tengchong's politics, economy, and culture has been continuous.

7. Yifang Stone Formation

He is wild and orderly, solemn and dignified, and worth pondering. He is a strange totem relic of the Dongshan indigenous people. We have enlarged and restored it, and we do not know if it fell from the sky or if the local residents did it unintentionally. The source is still unknown. Horse drivers from ancient and modern times stop and stop when passing by, perhaps it is a mysterious ritual activity, or maybe something else. Now, he stands here, watching every traveler who comes to explore.

8. Caiyun Stack Road

Caiyun Plank Road is built along the mountain, like a small white dragon perched on Dongshan Mountain, with a total length of about 7.8 kilometers. It is divided into three sections: the mountain experience section, the chasing cloud tribe, and the high mountain pasture.

After passing through a steep valley and climbing up the mountain, the mountain experience section suddenly becomes clear and offers a panoramic view of the city. The ink painting distant mountains seem to be within reach.

The Chasing Cloud Tribe section is built along the west side of the mountain. As the sun sets, it feels like being in the midst of ever-changing colorful clouds, with a romantic and dreamy sunset accompanying the entire boardwalk.

The high mountain pasture section not only has a section of high mountain meadow trampling grass, but also passes through the Yubi Ancient Road and the Yunling Cattle Breeding Base on the way. Along the way, the calls of Yunling cattle can be heard one after another, and curious baby cows will come over to greet them by the fence. The entire experience of the boardwalk is completely different and full of fun.

9. Sunset Bend

The curve winds and turns, as if telling a story from the past. The sunshine is like a golden brush, painting warmth and tranquility on every inch of the land. At dusk, when driving or walking through sunset bends, people will stop and be attracted by this picturesque scenery. The nearby mountains and the urban area of Tengchong radiate charming colors at this unique moment. In the distant horizon, colorful clouds fill the sky, interweaving red and purple like flames, igniting the entire sky. This scene makes people marvel at the incredible craftsmanship of nature.

10. Dadong Hot Spring

Da Dong Hot Spring is one of the twelve ancient scenic spots in Tengchong. After visiting Da Dong Hot Spring in the Ming Dynasty, the great traveler Xu Xiake compared the stone caves to stacked chess pieces and sword stones, and also evaluated the temperature of the hot spring as "the water in the pools and holes is not very hot, just fitting".

The 'Dadong Hot Springs' are surrounded by mountains, with the evergreen mountains on the left and the towering Puguo Mountain on the right. The flowing river water surrounds the bathhouse, giving it a unique geographical advantage and an extremely beautiful surrounding environment. The water temperature ranges from 38 to 41 degrees Celsius, with clear water and no sulfur odor. After bathing, the body is refreshed and the skin is smooth, which is in line with the saying "those who take a bath are like bathing orchid soup, moisturizing and pleasant".
